Onewhero Pukekohe Hockey Club  requires our club members (both financial and non – financial) to comply with our code of conduct both on and off the field.
Our code of conduct is for players,coaches, managers, umpires and supporters of the club. All members are required to both abide by the code of conduct and influence any other club members who do not support the code of conduct. This may be done by approaching the person ( s) directly or providing feedback to our committee .

Onewhero Pukekohe Hockey Club members will :

1. Act within the rules and spirit of your sport.
2. Promote fair play over winning at any cost.
3. Encourage and support opportunities for people to learn appropriate behaviours and skills.
4. Support opportunities f or participation in all aspects of the sport .
5. Show respect and courtesy to all involved with the sport , displaying appropriate and responsible behaviour . Respect the rights and worth of every person, regardless of their age, race, gender, ability, cultural background, sexuality or religion.
6. Respect the decisions of officials, coaches and administrators , and not make detrimental statements in respect of their performance . 
7. Act with integrity , objectivity, and accept responsibility for your decisions and act ions.
8. Ensure that any fees owed to Onewhero Pukekohe Hockey Club are paid on time, or if this is not possible, an arrangement must be made with the club treasurer to facilitate payment.
9. Acknowledge , and give permission, that their image may reasonably be used from time to time for the purposes of promoting the club on, for example, social media.
10. Ensure  their decisions and actions contribute to a safe and harassment – free environment.
11. Not tolerate abusive, bullying or threatening behaviour. Behave in a sporting manner at all times to all players, officials and spectators. 
12. Ensure that Onewhero Pukekohe Hockey Club is not brought into disrepute by their actions. 
13. Not engage in inappropriate and/or physical contact with players or officials during the course of play. 
14. Adhere to the Anti – Doping Policy advocated by Hockey New Zealand
15. Adhere to Hockey New Zealand’s racial and sexual vilification policy.

While you are a member of Onewhero Pukekohe Hockey Club, you will abide by the terms of this Code of Conduct. Should you be deemed to violate the code of conduct the matter will be referred to the Onewhero Pukekohe Hockey Club committee and appropriate action will be taken.
